A bit of an impromptu pub crawl around Leeds yesterday on the pretext of 'Christmas shopping.'
On such a cold day it was well worth popping in for a quick pint before ticking the next item off the list.
Beginning by the station with the Leeds Brewery brewery tap. Nice pint of Leeds Pale.
Seemingly popular all day, even on a Wednesday, I got the last seat going in at just after 5pm for the second visit of the day on the way back to the station.
The North Bar. Not convinced beer is quite the same in the old fashioned barrel glasses but somewhere that definitely thinks itself a bit cool and alternative, but putting a modern contemporary twist on a real ale theme is to be applauded.
A short diversion via Mr Foleys Cask Ale House for a quick pint of York Brewery Guzzler before heading another 100 yards down the road to the Town Hall Tavern.
There was also a quick stop at the White Swan for no other reason than I didn't know it was there (and indeed it would appear to be new - a new Leeds Brewery venture).
All great pubs; all worth a visit.
